Khaled is a specialist in crafting and fabricating traditional musical string instruments, such as Oud, Bouzouki and Qanun.
He studied fine arts, wood carving and decoration in Damascus, Syria.
Khaled is the third generation in his family to work in this industry. He learned the knowledge and secrets from his father and grandfather.
He established his first own workshop in Syria, then moved it to Jordan, then Lebanon, then finally to Toronto after he choose to settle in Canada.
Khaled made a special Oud for Canada and he gifted it to the prime minister on behalf of all Syrians.
Khaled participated in many exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon, and Canada. Now he is an active member of the Syrian Canadian Arts Council.
